I’m Andy Moyes, an independent advisor, interim leader, and founder of Carter Mackenzie.
I work with organisations to improve how they plan, decide, and execute.
I specialise in S&OP, S&OE and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) because this is where strategy, operations, finance, and leadership either come together — or fall apart — and where better decisions can have the greatest impact on performance.
Most organisations do not struggle because they lack a planning process.
They struggle because the process stops working effectively in practice:

I support organisations through periods of change, complexity, and underperformance, particularly where planning lacks credibility, ownership, or impact. This spans interim leadership, consulting, advisory support, and capability development.
I bring over 35 years’ experience across manufacturing, supply chain, and technology-enabled transformation, gained through permanent leadership roles, interim assignments, and consulting engagements. I have worked across sectors including pharmaceuticals, retail, mining, technology, manufacturing, and private-equity-owned businesses.
Alongside my interim work, I spent three years as a Director at Alvarez & Marsal within the Corporate Transformation and Private Equity practice. This strengthened my consulting capability and deepened my focus on diagnosis, governance, and sustainable delivery in high-pressure transformation environments.
Clients value a hands-on, pragmatic approach, a strong governance mindset, and the ability to work confidently with senior leaders to bring clarity, structure, and momentum to complex situations — and to make planning work in practice, not just on paper.
